The Back Of My Mind
A young Black man opens his mind in an effort to reshape and understand the ways in which society and family has shaped his manhood. How often should one examine their own humanity? Or rather discover it for the first time. The events of his life continue to influence not only his mind but the mind of society. Through his journey of self reflection he finds peace and understanding in a reality he did not make , but rather one he was born in to. He is on a quest to find unity within himself. He is human.

Who Are You?
An installation art piece that examines who you are because of someone else. This pieces consists of photos of “ Unidentified “ African Americans from the 1950’s and 1960’s.
However, everyone is known to someone. So I ask “ Am I unidentified because YOU don’t know me? Because you have never heard my laugh or seen my face ? ” The answer is no. This piece asks you to look at them and see you. Through your eyes and through someone else’s eyes. This piece gives you the opportunity to say thank you , I am here because of you and I may never know you.

Two sisters come together and find themselves longing to set free the truth they hold. Through their memories they are the past, present and future. They are the life that holds them together and what makes them fall apart. They are antecedent. They are blood. Throughout their journey they hold space. They hold me and they hold you.
